INACT festival focuses on performance art and was established in Strasbourg in 2011. This multi-disciplinary gathering will take place this June 2022 with several events in the evenings and a day programme. The festival invites artists using all media – musicians, visual artists, actors, dancers, poets – who regard their work as related to performance practices and propose projects related to this year’s theme: ‘Form as loss’. Taking an approach of transversality among artistic practices, the festival will question the work of art as a visible object and the framework of its exposure.
Field of interests: real time, performance studies, sound art, video performance, poetry, re-enactment, improvisation, dance, culinary art, sound poetry, environment, document, cross-media, statement, urban intervention, augmented and virtual reality, virtual performances.
The festival will run 9-12 June 2022 in different indoor and outdoor venues in Strasbourg. Works should be a maximum of 20 minutes in length (unless the performance doesn’t need the audience’s continuous attention).
The festival provides a 200€ artist fee, travel expenses, accommodation, catering during the day of the performance, and video or photo recording of the artwork.
