Sobremesa: Residencies on Food as a Practice of Life 2026 (Greece, Portugal, Spain)

Text of the call on a coloured background with gridlines.

Sobremesa’s residencies are designed as a cross-cultural parallel programme that brings together three distinct contexts through a shared investigation of food as a practice of life, encompassing not only the material, processual, and technē of food but also how it shapes the ways we negotiate with each other. Rather than approaching food as a purely culinary subject, Sobremesa understands it as a medium through which cultures of migration, care, technology, and social organisation can be read and understood.
