AFIELD: Strategic Communications Manager

Title of the job on a light coloured background.

AFIELD, an international network of cultural changemakers, is looking for a Strategic Communications Manager.

This full-time position, starting January 2026 (or sooner), requires someone both visionary and hands on: from crafting big-picture strategy and narrative to writing and sending newsletters, managing social media, and supporting grant applications. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and storyteller, able to translate complex work into compelling content for a range of audiences—funders, cultural leaders, media, and the wider public.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Content & Storytelling
  • Grant Writing & Reporting
  • Digital Communications
  • Media & Press Outreach
  • Design & Brand

Selection criteria includes:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences in English (additional languages a plus).
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms and audience engagement and growth.
  • Passion for storytelling, cultural work, and social justice.
  • Highly organised, resourceful, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in a small team.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

While they accept candidates internationally, there is a preference for candidates located in Paris or in a near time-zone.

The renumeration is 45,000 – 50,000 EUR.
